The answer for it is : NARS

Nars product shades carry provocative names like ‘Orgasm’, ‘Deep Throat’, ‘Striptease,’ and ‘Sex Machine‘. NARS ‘Orgasm’ blush is one of their most top-selling products, being Best of Sephora’s Best Blush for 2006, 2007 and 2008. The success[3] of the ‘Orgasm’ products led to the creation of gift sets such as the ‘Safer Multiple Orgasm’ set, which includes a NARS Multiple (a cream stick which can be used on eyes, lips, or cheeks) in ‘Orgasm’ as well as two condoms[4]. They have also developed an ‘Orgasm’ nail polish and different kind of ‘Orgasm’ product throughout the years.

We do know for a fact that Sephora is a one stop center for make-up (at least for us because we’re in New York City) but how can Sephora compete with Sasa? as the fundamental business foundation is similar?

Yay or Nay? and most of our readers and clients agree that they are uber excited over Sephora… few months has passed and yet we still haven’t heard anything about Sephora development for Malaysia.

Sephora is amazingly cool, since last year I have been hearing of rumors that Sephora is coming to Malaysia (ever since Stila closed its doors in Malaysia). We even write a post about our excitement over this. Can you imagine having to purchase NARS (mind you that we ADORE this brand of make-up). 0o0oh amazingly cool for all Malaysian girls.


This is the image of Sephora outside of StarHill looks futuristic and expensive! let’s hope that’s not the case for the make-up (we want it to be affordable as possible). YTL was actually going to build a structure just to house Sephora!! “Yes, the makeup giant we all know, SEPHORA!” a friend said to me *excited* There is no news yet on when it’s supposed to open, so I guess we’ll just have to wait for it.

Let’s hope, Malaysians can now get their hands on cosmetic and skincare brands that have been so elusive to everyone, and hopefully not at an exorbitant price! Again that is our main concern for everyone! :) as you know Soi66 is fashion affordable!

Lastly, let me show you something *envy much?* kill me… :)

Yes, I’m still alive. Don’t worry about the lack of posts from me in New York City. It has been a crazy month full of assignments, events, and most importantly…laziness. I swear I have a lot to talk about and it has been a great month (November and December just started)

Let’s see what’s happened since I last updated….

I discovered this yesterday and it was a mind-blowing moment for me.

In Add Minus is a brand of contemporary clothes for women and men with a pricepoint like Zara’s – but its difference is that the fabrics and quality are a cut above. It’s a great place for men and women to buy well-cut work clothes, suits (around $600) blouses and leather jackets (around $400). The brand is owned by a Malaysian company, and just opened a store in the Century City Mall, Santa Monica, California. The intend to open other boutiques in New York and Miami and Costa Mesa in 2011. New York’s is planned for this January (our heart is beating). The last time we heard, this company is not playing games! The cast from Glee and Gossip Girl is a fan already and they showed their support at the launch event. Let’s jump in the van with them, shall we?

New York City changed my life, it might even have saved my life. It is a magical place with beautiful people all around you from Upper East Side to Downtown Brooklyn, serious style is carried out well, you can go to East Side and you can see style is more Hipster or Upper East side, mixing elegant scarf with cashmere sweaters.

I learned that you don’t need to be a movie star to look like one. New York City taught me that looking good was about confidence and attitude. Believe me, you need a lot of attitude to be living in New York City! A job at a top selling magazine in South in Asia has garnered me (us) to fashion behind and in front of the camera. Now Soi66 are drowning in fashion. All the experience has taught me an important lessons about fashion world, personal style and clothing as general.

Everyone need to “own” and feel comfortable in what they wear, it doesn’t matter what it is as long as you’re comfortable. If you want to wear just T-shirt and Jeans. Go ahead. Do it! Be a rebel, add some touch of chunky accessories and a fedora hat!simple but elegant!

Clothing helps an individual to self explain them self, make them original and unique, it communicates who they are, what they do and what they want. No matter what you wear, it doesn’t matter as long as you think its fabulous! what other people think about you, is just a perception and what you think about yourself will last longer than a perception of others.

I learn it the hard way from Malaysia to New York City. Please allow me to introduce my self as the other half of Soi66 Aliaa Zulkifli who is currently resides in New York City, Soi66 represents effortless charm and sophisticated fashion forward style. We don’t mind mixing dressy with messy, We’re a rebel when it comes to fashion. As I learn, you need to stop Just wearing your clothes and start Owning it! Doesn’t matter what it is.

Rain Rain, Go Away!

When we’re talking about rain, the first thing that comes up in our mind in fashion is rain boots and if you’re lucky, There’s no rain at all, unfortunately it has been raining the whole week for half of Soi66 in New York City!

Right now as I’m sitting here while sipping coffee, typing this nevertheless I took a peek at my rain boots. “Hmmm” was the first thing that came up to my mind. “Cute” is the second thing that came out from my mouth *grins*

I am a big fan of Michael Kors Rain Boots. There are stylish yet serve the purpose of having rain boots in the first place. This is what I have and I’m loving my very own Micheal Kors! It’s biker inspired and 0oh so “Fashion Rebel” like attitude that caught my interest about this Uberly amazing Rain boots but a lot of girls out there still prefer the classic rain boots. What is consider as a classic design?

Soi66 managed to talk to several girls who is still wondering what brand and line that carries the trendiest rain boots, so here it goes – Two of Soi66′s favorite “classic” rain boots:

When we’re talking rain boots, nothing is more classic than a pair of Hunters. They fit great, feel great, look great, and do what they’re supposed to perfectly! (keep out water, duh). If you’re not a fan of black hues, you can also get them in variety of other fantastic colors, as well as with a glossy finish if you don’t prefer the matte look.

Another solid choice is the rain boots by Burberry. All of Burberry’s rain boots are so classic, and the quality is without a doubt, phenomenal. I like the subtle rose check pattern; it conveys the image of the brand without being too aggressive. The simple lines of the boots keep it both stylish and functional.

Fret not, there are a lot of rain boots out there that is a must have and 0o0o0oh so Uberly fantastic that we ourselves sometimes wonder “where is that pair from?”….

Who do you look for inspiration? Do you flip over to your fashion bible and get the inspiration from there, or adore a fashion celebrity and wish you can be just like her? you follow and try as hard to look pretty and stunning just like what you see on the cover of a magazine? the truth is, life is not that glossy as a fashion cover or a spread in a magazine.

There is a lot of people involve in dealing with a fashion shoot, yes it is and the amount of time to make someone look amazingly beautiful in front of a magazine takes weeks to assemble. Yet, no one really cares of who is working behind the scenes. Again now, we’re asking who are your fashion style “Gurus”?

It is such a fun and simple question, right? but yet it is so hard to answer because, Hey! Fashion is what girls live for, no matter what they say about it. In every girl, they know what they want for themselves.No matter what style, punk to classy, messy to dressy.

We for once want to hear from you, some would say Sienna Miller and Blake Lively is the mother of all street style icon, some would also differ and say Kate Moss is the birth mother of TopShop. Would you agree with the statement? Fashion is unique and style is what you want to have, no matter where you are – Malaysia to New York City.
